Happy Anniversary!

This is not the anniversary for me & Seppo, but the anniversary for me & the USA.

I moved to the US on September 3, 1983. Wow. It's been 25 years. We've had our ups and downs, but we stuck it through together. After years of doubt, I committed to you in 2002 -- sort of a strange time, but it was right for me. Sometimes (like now), I think you are a big selfish jerk, but I think you starting to turn back around... Maybe in November, I'll fall back in love with you again. :)

You've caused me no end of grief, but you've also caused me to grow. You've fought with me on so many major issues, but I've also been forced to self-reflect and figure out how to grow as a person. The best thing about you is that you can change and grow. And I can too. Right now, I think we all know it's your turn. :D

Sometimes, personal & work affairs have taken me away from really giving my best to helping our relationship grow, but I hope you forgive me for griping and not putting in the work.
